Glen Este bests Amelia for last time

UNION TWP., Ohio — Robby Boone rolled up 178 rushing yards and three touchdowns on just eight carries as Glen Este pounded Amelia, 63-20 in Union Township on Friday.

Boone scored midway through the first quarter on a 63-yard carry to open the scoring. He also ran in a TD from 29 yards early in the third quarter.

Trojans quarterback Tyler Pilcher finished 8-for-9 passing for 131 yards and two TDs.

Glen Este outgained the Barons, 408-222, including 277-93 on the ground.

Amelia was led by Jacob Pangallo, who ended the night with 22 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback Cage Meyer, who went 13-for-22 for 129 yards and a pair of TDs.

This was the final meeting between these teams. They will not play each other next year and the schools merge in 2017.

Glen Este will host Winton Woods next week while Amelia hosts Clermont Northeastern.
