La Salle blasts Winton Woods

La Salle led by two touchdowns at halftime and scored three straight TDs in the third quarter to blow open a 49-14 win over Winton Woods on Friday.
Lancers quarterback Nick Watson, a senior, only threw the ball 11 times, but he completed seven for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also ran in a five-yard score and eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in passing yards for the season.
Senior Jeremy Larkin scored four times for La Salle, catching two passes for 98 yards, with both going for touchdowns, and he carried it 12 times for 78 yards and a pair of TDs to reach four figures in ground yards.
Jarell White’s 11 tackles led a La Salle defense that surrendered just 210 yards of offense. The Lancers’ Kyle Farwick returned an interception for a score.
QB Kenny Mabrey and Zack Exalus scored the Warriors’ touchdowns.
La Salle (8-1) wraps up its regular season at home against Elder next week, with the winner sharing first place in the GCL South. Winton Woods (7-2) will travel to Columbus Watterson for its final regular season contest.
