Big second half hoists Kings

Kings overcame a pair of early one-touchdown deficits, scoring four unanswered TDs in the second half in a 41-27 win over Anderson on Friday.

Jake Stylski rushed for 231 yards and a pair of scores on 27 carries to pace the Knights. QB Tyler Knecht added 109 ground yards and four touchdowns on 26 rushes, and he was 10 of 13 passing for 139 yards in the air.

The teams combined for 908 yards, with Kings accounting for 484 – 345 of which came on the ground.

The Redskins were led by Jay Volpenhein, who was 27-for-50 passing for three TDs, but he was intercepted four times. Jay Newton caught seven of his passes for a team-best 98 yards and one score, and Austin Watt finished with nine receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Anderson hosts Withrow next week while Kings travels to Glen Este.
