Gamble named DV District OPOY

It has been an amazing season for CHCA running back Kesean Gamble. The senior set the school record for rushing yards, which now stands at 1,586 yards and counting for the undefeated Eagles. Throw in 15 receptions for 425 yards, 28.3 yards per catch, 10.1 yards per run, 44.3 per kickoff return, 2,365 all-purpose yards and 36 touchdowns (29 rushing, four receiving, three kickoff returns), it is easy to see why Gamble was named the 2016 AP Division V Southwest District offensive player of the year.

Five of Gamble’s teammates join him on the first team – Mason Bernhardt, Nick Noyen, Ryan Wichman, Danny Vanatsky and Ben Collado. Noyen was a first team All-Ohio selection as a junior in ’15.

Aiken made its first ever playoff appearance and for that head coach Jeremy Pflug was named coach of the year. The Falcons also placed KieVaughn Sanks on the first team and Tim Williams on the second team.
