SW District only gets four on DI All-Ohio team

Only four players from the Division I All-Southwest District Team were named First Team All-Ohio. Southwest District offensive player of the year Ra’Von Bonner (Sycamore) and defensive player of the year Kyle Bolden (Colerain) were the only representatives from the Greater Miami Conference. The GMC which placed four teams in the Region 4 playoffs saw even less love on the Second and Third teams with just three players from the league being recognized among those units.

Greater Western Ohio Conference and stalwart Wayne saw star L’Christian Smith be named First Team at receiver. The Warriors also placed four players on the Second and Third teams. Springboro had three of the GWOC’s other four players named to the Second and Third teams.

The honors were also slim pickings in the Greater Catholic League South. First Team linebacker Brady Stoll (St. Xavier) was the only member from the conference to be named to any team. It was a tough year for a league whose squads boast of playing the toughest schedules in the country.
