Trotwood (12-2) dominated this game from the outset, outgaining the Fight Irish in total yards 378 to 28 margin and holding on to the football for over 37 minutes by moving the chains with 15 first downs.

The Rams’ defense only allowed one first down and came up with a pair of turnovers in the win, including 65-yard interception return for a TD by Romello Micheals at the 8:30 mark in the first quarter to kick off the game’s scoring.

On offense it was running back Raveion Hargrove that led the charge for Trotwood. The junior tallied 164 on 16 carries, including touchdown runs for 18 and 76 yards out. Classmate Markell Stephens-Peppers added 111 yards and a touchdown through the air to go along with an additional 40 yards on the ground in the victory.

Toledo Central Catholic (13-1) won state titles in 2012 and 2014 and lost in the championship game a year ago.

The Rams will now face Akron Archbishop Hoban (13-1) next Saturday at 3 p.m. in Columbus for the Ohio Division III state championship.
