The Greater Catholic League South and the nine Division I Greater Western Ohio Conference schools have been dominant. The four GCL South schools are a combined 11-1. The aforementioned GWOC squads are combined 22-5 including the five GWOC National schools who are 14-1. The dust is far from settled in the Ohio Division II-III and Division IV-VII rankings. Head-to-head matchups over the next several weeks will begin to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

Here is a look at how things are shaping up after Week 3:

RANKINGS – OHIO DI
It’ is hard to crack these rankings as the top seven schools remain the same. The only real movement is No. 10 Mason dropping two spots after losing at No. 9 Sycamore. It is an action packed weekend with three battles between ranked teams. No time for Sycamore to admire its handy work as they travel to No.  3 Colerain. In the GWOC No. 4 Wayne entertains No. 9 Miamisburg and in a clash between unbeaten’s No. 6 Springfield welcomes in No. 7 Centerville…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DII-DIII
The top five teams all remain the same this week. They are the cream of the crop and are from five different conference…Don’t be surprised if newcomer No. 9 Belmont runs the table. The Bisons remaining schedule is set up in their favor. Only one tilt between ranked squads as No. 8 Kings hits the road and tries to slow down the high caliber No. 4 Anderson offense…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DIV-DVII
Crazy to think that there are three teams in the Top 10 who are sitting at 1-2. Those losses have come to top notch opponents who are rated higher than or in larger Division’s than them. Sometimes the scheduling gods get the best of schools. The only game on the scoreboard between ranked teams this week as No. 10 Taft hosts No. 8 Aiken. This is a must win for a Senators team that is struggling on offense. Aiken is 3-0 for the first time since 1972…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – NKY
For the third straight week the poll remains unchanged. Expect some movement after this weekend’s action. The slate is loaded with great contests including No. 1 Covington Catholic at No. 4 Beechwood who has won 14 in a row. Red-hot No. 3 Ryle hosts No. 7 Campbell County. The Camels hope to slow Ryle running back Jake Chisolm who is averaging 202 yards per game rushing…COMPLETE RANKINGS
