Team of the Week: Week 10

Gold Star Chili and TriStateFootball.com are partnering once this year to present the Gold Star Chili Team of the Week during the 2017 regular season. Each week 10 schools will be nominated from the Greater Cincinnati area to be included in an online voting poll to determine a winner.

The voting is open now until Thursday night at 6PM Eastern. Voters can vote once per hour, per IP address.

Once a team has won, they were ineligible to be nominated a second time. All of the winning teams will receive a trophy to be presented at their school by Gold Star Chili.

Here are this week’s nominations:

BEECHWOOD (8-2)
Beechwood knocked off rival NewCath 34-6 to close out their regular season. They’ve now beat the ‘Breds in four straight seasons.

CENTERVILLE (9-1)
The Elks won the GWOC National East Division title and nailed down a top seed in the DI, Region 3 bracket by shutting out Beavercreek, 26-0.

CHCA (7-2)
CHCA defeated to Miami Valley Christian Academy 45-12 to finish with a perfect 5-0 mark inside conference play.

COLERAIN (8-2)
The Cardinals closed out the year with another undefeated GMC season and eight straight wins as they defeated Oak Hills, 37-6.

COVCATH (10-0)
Covington Catholic rolled by Campbell County 49-13 on the road to wrap up a perfect regular season.

HARRISON (8-2)
The Wildcats are heading to the playoffs for second straight season and sixth time since 2010 after finishing out the conference schedule with a 41-13 win over Northwest.

LA SALLE (8-2)
With a win over Elder, La Salle finished the regular season with a winning record inside the GCL South for the fourth straight year.

MASON (8-2)
Mason closed out the regular season with a fourth straight win as they knocked off Lakota East and secured a home playoff game.

ST. XAVIER (9-1)
The Bombers beat the Tigers 16-14 in the battle of St. Xavier’s in Louisville. The Ohio DI defending state champs earned the top seed in the Ohio DI, Region 4 bracket.

WYOMING (10-0)
The Cowboys finished with a perfect season and wrapped up another CHL title in the process.
