St. Xavier quarterback Luke Massa has orally committed to the Cincinnati Bearcats, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Massa, who also had an offer on the table from Wisconsin, becomes the eighth player from the Tri-state’s Class of 2010 and tenth overall to commit to Cincinnati.

He connected on 66 of 124 passes for 752 yards with a 53% completion percentage while throwing three touchdowns passes against four interceptions a year ago after being limited to four games due to injuries.

Boston College, Notre Dame, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Michigan State, and North Carolina State are also showed serious interest at one point, but none of them extended an offer.

Rivals.com lists Massa as the 16th best pro-style quarterback in the nation for his class.
