The postseason hardware was handed out at Cadillac Jack’s Sports Bar in Centerville on Monday, saluting the best in high school football this year in the Dayton area.
Trotwood-Madison running back Antwan Gilbert was named our Dayton Offensive Player of the Year.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound junior rushed for 2,576 yards and 32 touchdowns on 313 carries to help lead the Rams all the way to the Region 8 final in Division II playoff action.
Gilbert, who was voted as Honorable Mention All-TriStateFootball.com, was one of the more dominant players in Southwest Ohio. Eleven times in 13 games he ran for 160 or more yards. He was named First-Team All-State in Division II.
Other nominations included Michael Bennett (Centerville), Antoin Campbell (Springboro), Chase Cochran (Lebanon), Sam Keegan (Fenwick), and Braxton Miller (Wayne).
