CHL: Recruiting Wrap

By Dan Clasgens | Managing Editor

Wyoming defensive end Jibreel Black went with Michigan over Cincinnati and Indiana.

National Signing Day came and went this past weekend and a handful of players from the Cincinnati Hills League took part in the festivities, signing their Letters of Intent.

Though the offense got many of the headlines during Wyoming’s run to the state semifinals, it was the defense that made a splash on the recruiting trail. Defensive end Jibreel Black and defensive back Jacob Allsop both made their commitments official on Wednesday.

Black, a three-star defensive end and 26th best prospect in the state according to Rivals.com, is headed to Michgian. Allsop committed to Ohio Domincan.

“The thing about Jibreel that I think gets lost in all of this - he's a great young man,” head coach Bernie Barre told the website. “I really hope Michigan fans embrace him and welcome him into their family as one of their own.”

Indian Hill quarterback Sam Hendricks was able to parlay his stellar senior season under center for the Braves into a scholarship offer at Eastern Illinois, where he’ll have a chance to make an immediate impact.
