National Signing Day was a big event for the Greater Western Ohio Conference and the conference’s South Division was well represented.
Lebanon wide receiver Chase Cochran and defensive lineman Elias Sayre are both headed to the Mid-American Conference. Cochran signed with Ohio and Sayre inked with Kent State.
“If you look at it I feel like Ohio is a little bit of a hidden gem. You have head coach Frank Zolich who is a two-time Big 12 Coach of the Year. My receiver coach played at Florida and has coaches 22 different receivers that were drafted in the first round of the NFL.”
Fellow Warriors, running back Trey Bonny (Georgetown College) and offensive tackle Jesse Boley (St. Francis – IN), also made their college decisions.
Springboro running back Antion Campbell will join Boley at St. Francis. His teammate, linebacker Jake Dwyer has opted for Albany.
Xenia offensive lineman Dakota Anderson committed to Ball State and will join Cochran and Sayre in the MAC. Meanwhile, Xenia running back / defensive back Brice Womack has settled on Findlay College.
