GOSHEN 28, HILLSBORO 26

Junior Ryan Ashcraft ran for 219 yards and three touchdowns as Goshen (1-1) picked up their first win of the season over Hillsboro (0-2), 28-26. Ashcraft’s third touchdown of the game came with 6:44 remaining gave the Warriors the lead for the final time of the night. Dating back to last season, Goshen has now won three of their last four games.

The Warriors ran 354 yards on the night but did not have a single passing yard against the Indians defense. Steve Morris also pitched in with 100 yards rushing for Goshen. Arron Worley also had a rushing score for the winners. The defense allowed 281 total yards, 163 of them passing for Hillsboro.

Goshen hosts Bethel-Tate in the SBAAC American league opener next Friday.
