GCL: Spartans Find Big Play Performers

Roger Bacon (1-1) head coach Kevin Huxel found out his team has many players capable of making big plays. The Spartans ended North College Hill's 23-game regular season win streak, 48-20 on Friday night. Four players averaged more than 10 yards per touch in the victory.

Senior running back Griffin Mouty ran for 148 yards with two rushing touchdowns on 14 carries (10.6 yards/carry). Classmate Jake Ungerbuehler picked up 82 yards on the ground and a score on only three totes (27.3/ carry). Dalen Wess got his hands on the ball eight times while getting 102 all-purpose yards (12.8 yards/touch). Junior Lonnell Brown hauled in a 31-yard touchdown pass and racked up 123 all-purpose yards on five touches (20.6/touch).
