The Western Brown Broncos (3-2, 1-1) piled up 589 total yards of offense as they cruised to victory over Bethel-Tate (0-5, 0-2). Quarterback Nick Woodyards led the way with 35 yards passing, two touchdown tosses to Zaine Clark, 90 yards rushing with three scores on the ground. Clark would finish with eight receptions for 119 yards. It was the seniors first scores at the varsity level and first time over the century mark in yardage.
Five players would end up with at least 80 yards of total offense for Western Brown. Jake Lawson had 90 with a rushing touchdown and Jarred Haggerty had 91 with five receptions. Gunnar Woodyard hauled six passes for 85 yards. This trio has been very productive for the Broncos combining for 1,425 all-purpose yards and 71 receptions through the first five contests. Lawson is becoming a dual threat with at least 3 receptions and 50 yards rushing in every game.
Western Brown will head to Goshen (4-1, 2-0) to take on the SBAAC American leaders. Bethel-Tate hosts East Clinton (3-2, 2-0).
