Week in and week out Trotwood-Madison (8-0, 2-0) continues to impress. The Division II Rams beat Troy (6-2, 2-1), 33-13 for their fifth win in the last six games against a Division I school. After spotting the Trojans a 7-0 lead Trotwood-Madison scored 27 unanswered second quarter points to take command.
Defensive stalwart Bam Bradley showcased his new found talents on offense with two touchdown receptions from Michael Simpson in the stanza. Simpson would throw for 162 yards with three scoring tosses and zero while leading the Rams offense. The senior now has 20 touchdown passes on the season and has thrown at least two in every contest. Receiver Trai Mobley caught five balls for 112 yards and the other touchdown. Running back Isreal Green rushed for 129 yards (the seventh time he has hit that mark) and a score. The junior has run for 1,175 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns in 2011.
Troy won the time of possession battle but three costly turnovers were too much to overcome. Rams linebacker Mike McCray intercepted two balls. The junior took one 70-yards to the house 33 seconds before intermission. It deflated Troy as they went down by three scores.
Trotwood-Madison is at winless Sidney (0-8, 0-2) on Friday night. Troy hosts Miamisburg (2-6, 0-3) losers of five straight.
