DIXIE HEIGHTS 35, SIMON KENTON 14

The Dixie Heights Colonels picked up their second district win by defeating the Kenton County rivals, the Simon Kenton Pioneers, on Friday night 35-14.

Dixie Heights (3-5, 2-1) outscored Simon Kenton (2-6, 0-4) by 21 points after the halftime to pull away. The game was knotted at 14-14 at the half.

Quarterback Zeke Pike turned in one of his better efforts of the season in the win. The senior completed 20-of-32 passed for 250 yards and three touchdowns and added another 153 yards and two scores on the ground.

The Colonels host Ryle next week with second place and a home playoff game as stake. Elsewhere, Simon Kenton heads to Ironton.
