On the final stat sheet Ross (7-2, 3-1) did everything they were supposed to come out victorious except one ting – take care of the football. The Rams tossed four interceptions and Eric Pringle’s second of two on the night gave Mount Healthy (7-2, 3-1) a 17-7 win. The Owls surge back into the Region 8 playoff picture with their third straight win. Ross is now on the outside looking in.
How bad does this one sting for the Rams. They allowed just 110 yards of total offense, 0-8 on third down conversions and just two first downs on the night. The defense did their share to win the ballgame. The miscue’s on offense were too much to overcome.
Tyrell Hines was sensational for Mount Healthy with 100 yards rushing, one touchdown on the ground, 199 all-purpose yards on 10 touches and two interceptions on defense. In every phase of the game Ross had no answer for him.
Mount Healthy heads to Shea Stadium to take on Norwood (2-7, 1-3). Ross hosts Edgewood (3-6, 2-2) on senior night in their finale.
