By TSF Staff | TRISTATEFOOTBALL.COM

The Bellevue Tigers laid claim to their fourth straight win in the Battle for the Paddle as they held off the Dayton Greendevils at Davis Field for a 17-6 win in the school’s 132nd meeting in the state’s most played rivalry.

Bellevue (5-4, 2-1) raced out to a 14-0 first-quarter lead behind a pair of Jordan Fogelman rushing touchdowns and got great play from its defense as the held off Dayton (1-8, 0-3). Fogelman finished the night by rushing for 118 yards on 31 carries to lead the Tigers. The win locked up the No. 2 seed in the district for the team and a first-round home playoff game.

The Greendevils did manage a touchdown in the third quarter on a Danny Sparks’ 15-yard catch, but that would prove to be the only points they could put on the board all night.

Bellevue stays on the road next week for the regular-season finale with a trip to Lloyd. Dayton finishes up with a visit to Carroll County.
