The Lockland Panthers’ fifth straight appearance in the playoffs was a brief one as they were knocked out by the Marion Local Flyers, 53-0.

Marion Local (8-3) raced out to a 27-0 lead in the first quarter and that was more than enough to dispose of Lockland (7-4), who was kept off the scoreboard.

Quarterback Adam Bertke completed 5-of-8 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns while
Jake Heitkamp and Jacy Goettemoeller each scored three times, combining for 186 yards on the ground.

Marion Local advances to face Ada next week in the Region 24 semi-finals.
