By TSF Staff | TRISTATEFOOTBALL.COM

Jacob Scheib helped Franklin County to a 9-3 record with his play on both sides of the ball.

Dead smack in the middle of Franklin County’s resurgence on the football field was team MVP, Jacob Schieb. The 6-foot-2, 220 pound senior, helped lead the Wildcats to a 9-3 record and a spot in the Sectional 15 championship game in 2011. He has been a two-way starter at fullback and defensive end for Franklin County the past two seasons. The Wildcats went a combined 16-8 in that period after going 2-28 the previous three years before.

Scheib finished up his great career with 191 carries for 1055 yards rushing on offense. Defensively, he was in on 46 tackles with three sacks. His efforts earned him Class 4A All-Indiana and First Team All-EIAC honors this past fall.

Franklin County finished the 2011 season with a 9-4 record, including three conference wins. The Wildcats went 1-14 in EIAC over the past three years with an overall mark 8-24.
