The Trotwood-Madison Rams, the reigning Ohio DII state champions, were named as TriStateFootball.com’s Dayton Team of the Year last week, capping off the most magical season in school history.
Trotwood-Madison's 15-0 record was also best in school history as they topped the 1981 squad's 14-1 mark. It was also the second straight Division II, Region 8 title for T-Mad. The Rams made the playoffs for the third straight year and seventh time overall.
The Rams averaged nearly 42 points per game while allowing opponents to put just 18.3 points on the scoreboard per contest. The balanced attack on offense netted 449.6 yards per game during the regular season on its way to earning the region’s top seed.
Other nominations included Alter, Centerville, Chaminade-Julienne, Troy, and Waynesville.
