Signing Day Recap: GWOC Central

By Dan Clasgens | Managing Editor

Centerville defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo signed his letter of intent with Northwestern.

Southwest Ohio is always loaded with big-time Division I talent and that was once again evident on Signing Day inside the GWOC Central.

Centerville defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo, a recent addition to the Rivals100, headlined the conference’s highly talented class of 2012. The Elks’ senior surprised many when he opted for Northwestern over several other BCS programs.

Teammates, safety Jay Mastin (Miami-OH) and offensive lineman Benny McGown (Michigan State), also signed their letters of intent on Wednesday.

Wayne wide receiver Armani Miller opted for Toledo. His teammate, safety Toney Peters, will continue his career up north with Ashland.
