The Wyoming Board of Education approved the hiring of Aaron Hancock as the new head football coach at Wyoming High School on Monday night.
Hancock, 33, will replace Hall of Fame head coach Bernie Barre, who retired after 21 seasons at the school at the conclusion of last season.
Hancock has spent the last 11 seasons as assistant at Wyoming and was the team’s defensive coordinator the past four years. He graduated from Norwood High School in 1996 and played linebacker at the College of Mount St. Joseph’s.
The Cowboys went 6-4, including 5-2 inside the Cincinnati Hills League a year ago.
