Ohio Adds Seventh Division

By TSF Staff | TRISTATEFOOTBALL.COM

The OHSAA will add a seventh division in football next year, according to the Associated Press.

Under the new plan the largest ten percent of schools across the state will be placed in Division I with the other 644 divided up evenly based on enrollment over the other six divisions.

That will have 72 in Division I and 108 schools each in the other divisions, compared to the current average of 120 schools per division.

With a new division 32 more teams will now make the postseason and there will be seven state champions crowned rather than six.
