NKY Team of the Year: Highlands

After earning their third consecutive state championship, the Highlands Bluebirds were recognized as TriStateFootball.com’s Northern Kentucky Team of the Year on Wednesday at our Year In Review Show at Longneck’s Sports Grill in Wilder.
Highlands had an explosive offense and a dominating defense and few opponents had an answer. They finished the season with a perfect 15-0 mark as they outscored opponents by average margin of 40-11.
This senior class finished their careers with a 54-1 overall mark. They were 10-0 as freshman and 44-1 the following three years.
Beechwood, Bellevue, Holmes, Ryle and Simon Kenton were also nominated.
