GCL North: Recruiting Wrap

By Dan Clasgens | Managing Editor

Alter linebacker Cody Byers signed with the Wisconsin Badgers.

Last Wednesday was National Signing Day and several players from the GCL North made their college decisions official.

Alter linebacker Cody Byers becomes the second player from the school to head to Wisconsin in two years, joining former teammate Chris Borland in Madison.

Byers played a large role in the Knights’ repeat as Ohio Division IV champions. He was force in the middle for Alter and should make an impact for Wisconsin.

Fellow seniors, tackle Ryan Cronin (Dayton) and running back Cody Taulbee (Brown), will also get a chance to continue their careers at the next level.

Chaminade-Julienne offensive lineman Andy Jomantas will play in the ACC next year after signing with N.C. State.
