All-TSF: Voting Begins

By GetSports Desk | TRISTATEFOOTBALL.COM

Tyler Williams is one of six Colerain Cardinals that are finalists for the 2010 Preseason All-TriStateFootball.com team.

After weeks of taking online nominations and several staff meeting debates, TriStateFootball.com proudly releases the finalists for the 2010 Preseason All-TriStateFootball.com team.

In total 181 players from three different states, 22 conferences and 87 schools make up the ballot which can be voted on at TriStateFootball.com from now through August 9. Users can vote as many times as they like during the voting period.

From the list of nominees we will name a First-Team, Second-Team as well as Honorable Mentions with each team consisting of (1) quarterback, (2) running backs, (2) wide receivers, (5) offensive linemen, (3) defensive linemen, (4) linebackers, (4) defensive backs, (1) athlete, (1) place kicker, (1) punter, and (1) return specialist.

Online voting will account for 50 percent of the final tally with our staff votes accounting for the other 50 percent of the vote. Every vote counts as we use a Borda Count method to determine the winner. That makes the position where each candidate finishes in the balloting critical.

Several new conferences have been added for consideration this year as the coverage on our website has expanded, including the Greater Western Conference and Southwestern Buckeye League.

“Our goal with our All-TriStateFootball.com Teams has always been not only to have the most talented team, but also best represents the immense amount of area we cover here at the website,” TSF Managing Editor said.

With the addition of the new conferences, finalizing a list of candidates was as tough as ever for the TSF staff.

“There is so much talent in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana that we could easily add 100 deserving names to the ballot,” Clasgens added. “We will be sure to acknowledge all of the athletes we considered in features throughout the contest. Plus, for those that did not make the list they still have a shot at the All-TriStateFootball.com Postseason team.”
