TSF Ohio DI Rankings: Week 3

Elder senior RB Jimmy White has paced the Panthers' offesne with three TD's in two games.

The time is here to build upon great starts for several teams. For the second straight season Elder is 2-0. This time though it looks as if the Panthers can build upon after dropping eight straight games to close out last season.

Lebanon, Springboro and Lakota West are making strong cases for a trip to the post-season. Maintaining this early success gets tougher each passing week as these programs need to realize that knocking on the door has still not gotten them to their final destination of entering the big dance.

With so much football left to be played admiring two weeks of accomplishments is enough to get you beat real quickly in Region 4. It is time to find out who is hungry enough to want to play in November.

Here are the latest TriStateFootball.com Ohio DI Rankings:

1. Moeller (2-0)
How they fared: Senior leadership continues to be the Crusaders’ strength as they knocked off Grand Rapids Christian, 42-34.
Looking Ahead: Moeller rides into the Motor City to wrestle with Detroit Catholic Central (1-1) on Saturday afternoon.

2. Colerain (2-0)
How they fared: The Cards showed they are not one dimensional in the triple-option offense as they blanked Ryle, 35-0.
Looking Ahead: The much-anticipated showdown with St. Xavier looms on Friday night.

3. St. Xavier (2-0)
How they fared: Mental toughness and a will to win over Middletown is a good sign for the Bombers moving forward.
Looking Ahead: The Bombers host Colerain in a game that could be a Region 4 title preview.

4. Middletown (1-1)
How they fared: A shutout victory on the road at Springfield shows that the Middies have still got it.
Looking Ahead: Head coach Troy Everhart invades his old stomping grounds as Winton Woods will be waiting.

5. Elder (2-0)
How they fared: A big victory over Upper Arlington sees Elder match last year’s win total.
Looking Ahead: There’s no rest for the Panthers as they are in Louisville to take on a powerful Trinity team.

6. Sycamore (2-0)
How they fared: The Aviators show that they are well-rounded on in all phases of the game with shutout of East Central.
Looking Ahead: Springfield invades Sycamore Stadium this Friday night.

7. Wayne (1-1)
How they fared: The Wayne offensive was stymied in loss to Canton McKinley.
Looking Ahead: A rivalry matchup with Division II Trotwood-Madison is a must-win game for both teams.

8. Lebanon (2-0)
How they fared: The Warriors looked sharp on the road as they caged the Loveland Tigers, 42-14.
Looking Ahead: Lebanon should have little problems with a Greenville squad that is struggling to find their identity.

9. Springboro (2-0)
How they fared: The Panthers picked up their first-ever win over neighbor Centerville.
Looking Ahead: Pulling out another non-conference victory versus Fairmont will make everyone take notice.

10. Lakota West (2-0)
How they fared: The Firebirds are averaging 40 points per game on offense and now the defense has a shutout after taking down Glen Este, 34-0.
Looking Ahead: Lakota West better not be fooled by Anderson’s 0-2 start as the Redskins are a load to handle.
