Each week this season TriStateFootball.com will be nominating teams for our Chick-fil-A Northern Kentucky Team of the Week award, highlighting schools that earned hard-fought victories.
Visitors to our website will be able to vote once per day from the time the nominations are released through 9:00 AM Friday morning for the team of their choice. Winners will be announced weekly on Friday morning.
Teams are only eligible to win once during the season and will not be nominated again after winning the award the first time. All winning teams will be recognized by Chick-fil-A, a proud sponsor of high school football and supporter of the community.
Here are this week's nominations from Northern Kentucky:

BOONE COUNTY (1-5)
34-13 win over Dixie Heights. The Rebels start district play off by picking up first win of the year.
DAYTON (2-4)
32-27 win over Bracken County. With their second win of seaosn, Greendevils surpass last year's win total.
HIGHLANDS (5-0)
35-21 win over CovCath. The Bluebirds won a key matchup with CovCath to take control of district.
LLOYD (5-1)
36-35 win over Holy Cross. By knocking off Holy Cross, Lloyd controls their own destiny in district.
NEWCATH (2-3)
58-0 win over Brossart. NewCath turns in their best effort of the season as district play kicks off.
