NKY: Chick-fil-A Team of the Week

Vote now for the Chick-fil-A NKY Team of the Week.

Each week this season TriStateFootball.com will be nominating teams for our Chick-fil-A Northern Kentucky Team of the Week award, highlighting schools that earned hard-fought victories.

Visitors to our website will be able to vote once per day from the time the nominations are released through 9:00 AM Friday morning for the team of their choice. Winners will be announced weekly on Friday morning.

Teams are only eligible to win once during the season and will not be nominated again after winning the award the first time. All winning teams will be recognized by Chick-fil-A, a proud sponsor of high school football and supporter of the community.

Here are this week's nominations from Northern Kentucky:

BEECHWOOD (5-3)
54-20 win over Dayton. The Tigers picked up their fourth win in a row with a strong second-half performance.

BELLEVUE (4-4)
56-0 win over Ludlow. Defense wins and the Tigers' D pitched its first shutout of the year in Week 8.

DIXIE HEIGHTS (2-6)
21-15 win over Simon Kenton. Don't look now, but the Colonels just keep getting better. The future is bright!

HOLY CROSS (3-5)
59-9 win over Brossart. The Indians are hoping this win kicks start a late-season surge like we saw in 2011.

NEWCATH (4-4)
49-0 win over Newport. NewCath can wrap up a district title with a win this week vs. Holy Cross.
