Late TDs lift Colerain over Mason
- Updated: September 18, 2015

Colerain needed a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to extend its GMC winning streak.
The Cardinals continued their dominance in league games, scoring 14 unanswered points late to beat Mason, 21-7 in the teams’ conference opener on Friday.
Colerain has not lost a conference matchup since 2008, winning 46 straight contests.
Monalo Caldwell rushed 31 times for 168 yards and two TDs to pace Colerain. He ran in the go-ahead score from two yards out with 10:01 left in the fourth quarter, making it 13-7.
Cardinals quarterback Deshaunte Jones ran in a 25-yard score with 6:46 to play, and Caldwell added the two-point conversion on a rush.
Bryson White paced the Comets with 74 ground yards on 10 carries. Matt Sora scored Mason’s only touchdown in the final minute of the third quarter, tying the score.
Colerain will host Middletown next week – the last team to beat the Cardinals in league play – while Mason travels to Fairfield.
