New Richmond holds off Walton

New Richmond intercepted a pass with eight seconds remaining to hold off Walton-Verona, 28-21 on Friday.
Freshman quarterback Josh Anderson ran for 96 yards and threw for 196 more with one passing and one rushing touchdown for New Richmond.
Sophomore Chandler Kenalt had two of the biggest plays of the evening catching 52-yard touchdown pass and scoring on a 50-yard run to give new Richmond some breathing room early in the third quarter. He finished the night with 77 yards on the ground and 74 more receiving. The Lions will wrap up their season at Norwood next Friday night.
The Bearcats were led by Halsey Page’s 130 rushing yards.
New Richmond finishes its regular season at Norwood next week. Walton-Verona has a bye before its playoff opener.
