TSF Rankings Update: Week 7
- Updated: October 5, 2015
What a weekend it was in Division I, Region 2. Four of the top 10 teams fell on Friday night, muddling the post-season picture even more for the big schools. In the lower divisions the cream of the crop continued to separate itself from the rest of the pack in the latest TriStateFootball.com Team Rankings. Here is how things are shaping up as we enter Week 7 of the season:
RANKINGS – OHIO DI
The GCL South provided plenty of this past weekend’s top drama. St. Xavier dropped two spots after Elder took them down in overtime. The Panthers moved up to No. 3 after the victory. Moeller lost its third straight game, but based off their grueling schedule still maintained its spot at No. 5. They get a chance to redeem themselves in the week ahead with a trip to The Pit. Lakota West entered the Top 10, replacing Lakota East. The Thunderhawks will play Fairfield Friday night. The loser of that contest will have dropped three games in a row and in all likelihood will be on the outside looking in at the playoffs…COMPLETE RANKINGS
RANKINGS – OHIO DII-DIII
The top eight teams in the rankings were all victorious and retained their positions in the poll this week. Tippecanoe’s loss to Springfield Shawnee knocked the Red Devils out of the rankings. They are replaced at No. 9 by Harrison, who has won four games in a row…COMPLETE RANKINGS
RANKINGS – OHIO DIV-DVII
It was a rare week when all the teams in the rankings won. There are no changes in the Week 7 poll, but don’t expect that next week as the schedule is loaded with excellent games, including a big GCL Co-Ed matchup between No. 2 Badin and No. 4 Alter…COMPLETE RANKINGS
RANKINGS – NKY
A light schedule only saw five ranked teams play last weekend. All those squads won and no changes happened in the rankings this time around. The marquee game this Friday in Northern Kentucky is the battle of Union, Kentucky as No. 3 Cooper hosts undefeated No. 2 Ryle in this week’s U.S. Marines Battle of the Gridiron Series match-up…COMPLETE RANKINGS
