Beechwood blanks Lloyd

Beechwood recorded football’s equivalent of the cycle on Friday.

The Tigers shut out Lloyd, 12-0 on Friday, scoring on a field goal, a safety and a touchdown.

Daniel Meacher kicked a 21-yard field goal with 1:09 left in the second quarter to open the scoring.

Beechwood blocked a punt, resulting in safety early in the third quarter, and on the ensuing kickoff, Logan Castleman scored on a 68-yard return to cap the scoring.

Beechwood will host Somerset next week while Grant County visits the Juggernauts.
