- Updated: August 19, 2016

Opening the season with a tough road matchup, Boone County led by five in the second quarter but eventually fell, 41-18 at Lexington Catholic.
After falling behind by seven, the Rebels cut the lead to one on a 90-yard touchdown on the ensuing kickoff.
Boone County went up, 12-7 when Corstin Cahill ran in a 72-yard touchdown, but the Knights would run off the next 21 points to take control.
Cahill scored the Rebels’ other touchdown, also on a long run from 62 yards out.
It was the 21st straight loss for Boone County, which will host Conner next week.
