East Central downs Campbell County
- Updated: August 20, 2016

Dillon Watkins showed up on defense for East Central with two interceptions, including an 85-yard interception return for a touchdown.
East Central was able to pull out a win against Campbell County despite being outgained in total yards 266-145. The Trojans got to take home a 21-7 win against the Camels in the third straight year the two teams have played each other.
It was a close matchup as it stayed a one score differential most of the night, however a costly turnover in the final few minutes by the Camels allowed the Trojans to secure the victory with a last minute 29-yard touchdown run by Garren Messmore.
Messmore also had a 74-yard punt return for a touchdown, and was East Central’s individual stats leader with 78 yards on 17 carries.
Next week, East Central travels to Harrison High School (OH) and Campbell County hosts Highlands.
