Ludlow blanks Newport again

Ludlow kept Newport off the scoreboard for the second straight year.

The Panthers induced the running clock with four minutes left in the third quarter en route to a 42-0 win over the Wildcats on Friday.

Ludlow won, 34-0 in the season opener against Newport in 2015.

The Panthers open their home slate against Bracken County next week, while the Wildcats remain in Newport to take on Finneytown (Ohio).
