Week 2: TSF Rankings Update
- Updated: August 31, 2016
The contenders and pretenders are not making it easy for us to tell them one from the other. There are so many teams with so much to work on after Week 1. The dust is far from settling in the latest TriStateFootball.com Team Rankings. Expect turmoil in the rankings over the next several Friday nights as teams work out their kinks. Here is a look at the congestion as we head into Week 2 of the season:
RANKINGS – OHIO DI
Mason rockets up the poll coming in at #4 this week. The Comets benefited from the three teams directly above them falling, including their victory over then #6 Springboro. Despite the losses by St. Xavier, Elder and Springboro they all remain in the Top 10…COMPLETE RANKINGS
RANKINGS – OHIO DII-DIII
There is no shortage of upper tier teams in Division II and Division III in Southwest Ohio. Eight of the 10 teams in our rankings won their openers last weekend. Winton Woods and Trotwood-Madison lost, but remain in the Top 10. Troy, who took down Trotwood-Madison, still didn’t break into the rankings…COMPLETE RANKINGS
RANKINGS – OHIO DIV-DVII
We didn’t have any changes in the top five of our Ohio DIV-DVII Team Rankings. The top four schools are all capable of winning the Division IV, Region 16 title and perhaps more. Four teams in last week’s Top 10 lost their openers. It cost Reading and Madeira their spots inside the top 10 with Taft and Indian Lake breaking into the mix…COMPLETE RANKINGS
RANKINGS – NKY
The top two teams in our Northern Kentucky Rankings appear to be a notch above the other teams in the area. The rest of the field seems to be content with knocking off each other. The struggle for these teams is going to be separating from that pack. Campbell County surges into the Top 10 after beating Highlands for the first time in 25 years. The Camels have now equaled their win total of a year ago of one win…COMPLETE RANKINGS
