Colerain Coach Tom Bolden led his team to a 38-7 win over Princeton to earn his 100th career coaching victory.
Mother Nature struck again tonight, delaying most games in the Tri-State area, including the Vikings and Cardinals matchup by about an hour.
It seemed as though the delay didn’t bother the Cards at all though, as they ran all over Princeton’s defense.
Colerain ran for 388 yards as opposed to Princeton’s mere 66 yards, led by JJ Davis’ 126 yards on 12 rushes and Deante Smith-Moore’s 16 for 89 yards.
The passing game, however, was a different story, as Colerain only had 2 passing yards compared to Princeton’s 101.
The Cards appeared to be in for another close game when the Vikes tied the game at 7 in the first quarter with a 2 yard TD pass from Raymond Kozlowski to C.J. Henderson, but it was all Colerain after that.
Their defense, playing without the injured Ohio State commit Amir Riep, was able to step up and shut down Princeton for the rest of the game, holding them to only 71 offensive yards in the 2nd half.
Colerain has now won 53 straight GMC games dating back to 2008.
Up next, Colerain (4-0) hosts Sycamore (2-2) at home, and Princeton (3-1) visits Oak Hills (2-2).
