Colerain wins its 500th game

Colerain won its 500th game in team history, easily beating Middletown, 47-8 on Friday.

The Cardinals earned their first victory over Taylor in 1935.

Colerain scored 41 points in the first quarter to put this game away early.

Monalo Caldwell led the Cardinals in rushing with 99 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns as Colerain outgained the Middies, 447-157 and 317 to minus-16 rushing.

The Cardinals will host Fairfield next week while Middletown returns home to face Lakota West.
