Week 8: Team of the Week

Gold Star Chili and TriStateFootball.com are partnering to present the High School Football Team of the Week during the 2016 regular season. Each week 8-10 schools will be nominated from the Greater Cincinnati area to be included in an online voting poll to determine a winner.
The voting is open now until Wednesday night at 6PM. Voters can vote once per hour, per IP address.
**EVERYONE THAT VOTES GETS THIS GREAT DEAL FROM GOLD STAR CHILI**
Once a team has won, they were ineligible to be nominated a second time. All of the winning teams will receive a trophy to be presented at their school by Gold Star Chili.
Here are this week’s nominations:
COLERAIN (8-0)
Colerain grabbed pitched an impressive 28-0 shutout over Fairfield to remain unbeaten.
COVINGTON CATHOLIC (6-2)
The Colonels snapped a 15-game losing streak to Highlands with a 63-26 win over their rivals in Ft. Thomas.
FENWICK (4-4)
The Falcons are flying after knocking off Purcell-Marian 38-7 to register their third straight win.
HOLY CROSS (5-3)
Holy Cross continued their impressive season with a 56-0 shuout over Newport.
LAKOTA EAST (4-4)
Lakota East grabbed a huge GMC win by knocking off Mason 21-17 as they pulled back to .500 on the season.
LOVELAND (4-4)
With their 55-20 victory of Glen Este, the Tigers are back at .500 and 4-1 inside ECC play.
MARIEMONT (6-2)
The Warriors grabbed a clutch CHL win by knocking off Reading, 16-13.
NORWOOD (7-1)
Norwood moved to 7-1 after earning a hard-fought conference road win at Goshen, 46-41.
TAFT (6-2)
The Senators won their fourth straight game and the fifth of their last six by taking down Meadowdale, 48-37.
WINTON WOODS (3-5)
A three-game losing streak came to the end for the Winton Woods as they upset Elder at The Pit.
