Beechwood cruises in Round 2

The Beechwood Tigers quest for to make it back to Bowling Green and the Class A state championship game for a second straight year continued on Friday night as they shutout Louisville Holy Cross, 44-0.
Beechwood (11-1) outgained the Cougars on offense by a 281-35 margin and dominated time of possession by holding on to the football for over 33 of the game’s 48 minutes in the route.
Junior Brayden Burch connected with senior Aiden Justice from 30 yards for a score less than 90 seconds into the contest and the Tigers never looked back.
After a safety, Justice would add a second touchdown when he ran a score in from 21 yards out with 4:26 left in the opening frame to give the Tigers a 16-0 lead.
Justice would go to score two more times and finished the night with 129 total yards on just 10 touches. Teammate James Davis would add 52 yards and a TD on nine carries in the win.
A trip to Kentucky Country Day is up next for Beechwood following their 56-6 romp over Frankfort on Friday.
