Edgewood Rallies Over Harrison

Edgewood comes from behind to defeat Harrison, 28-17, Friday night at home.
The Cougars were down 14-0 in the second quarter, but managed to win its third straight game.
With just over two minutes left in the first half, Edgewood quarterback junior Corbin Craft found senior Nick Noble on a 46-yard touchdown pass to cut the Harrison lead 14-7.
The Cougars tied the score midway through the third quarter when junior Wade Phillips found the endzone on a two-yard run. Harrison answered with a 42-yard field goal to take back the lead, 17-14.
Harrison had the ball with just over five minutes left and then it all began to unravel. Senior D.J. Whiles intercepted a pass and returned the interception to the Harrison 7-yard line. On the first play from scrimmage Phillips scored the go-ahead touchdown to take a 21-14 lead with just under four minutes left.
On the ensuing kickoff, Harrison fumbled the kickoff, which Edgewood recovered. That second turnover in two minutes turned into another touchdown by Phillips on a 34-yard run to extend the lead 28-17.
Harrison tried to make a comeback, but threw two interceptions in back-to-back possessions. Noble had the first with just over two minutes to go, and Whiles intercepted another pass to secure the win.
