- Updated: October 4, 2017
The Class of 2018 recruits for the Cincinnati Bearcats has added one more special piece as Franklin RB Ryan Montgomery has verbally committed to UC, Wildcats head coach Brad Childers informed the press. A gifted athlete who makes eye-popping moves on weekly basis, Montgomery is a rare talent who can put a team on his back and will them to victory.
Montgomery, the 2016 TriState Football Dayton Offensive Player of the Year, Southwest District Division III OPOY, SWBL Southwestern OPOY, and AP Second Team All-Ohio selection has 740 yards rushing, 1,015 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns (13 rushing) in six games this season. The 5-foot-11, 195 pound Montgomery has amassed 5,359 all-purpose yards, 3,743 rushing yards, 1,231 passing yards, 55 receptions for 683 yards and accounted for 69 touchdowns (55 rushing, 10 passing) in his career.
He joins other locals WR Josh Whyle (La Salle), DL Malik Vann (Fairfield), DE Blake Bacevich (St. Xavier) in what is shaping up to be a very special class of recruits for the University of Cincinnati.
