Milford Crushes Anderson in ECC Battle
- Updated: September 28, 2018
Milford dominates Anderson, 56-20, Friday night at Anderson High School in an Eastern Cincinnati Conference matchup.
Anderson took an early lead in the first quarter when Owen Koelle scored on a one-yard run, but then Milford scored 42 straight points between the second and third quarter.
Milford took advantage of costly mistakes from the Anderson offense in the second quarter. They were able to capitalize on Anderson drives that ended on downs, an interception and a fumble.
Milford senior Cameron Kells scored seven touchdowns and finished the game with 251 rushing yards and 45 reception yards in this ECC rivalry game. Junior quarterback Hunter Johnson contributed with 131 passing yards and the touchdown to Kells. They outgained Anderson, 401-263.
This is Milford’s third straight win and have scored at least 40-plus points in four of its last five games. They have also held opponents to 21 or less points in each of those four games as well.
They will now play at home to Withrow, which lost to Kings 55-6 Friday night. This is Anderson’s second loss in the last three games and is visiting West Clermont next Friday. West Clermont defeated Loveland, 10-7 in overtime Friday night and have won two straight games.
