Madison Senior (7-0, 4-0) head coach Steve Poff talks with Greg Shoemaker of TriStateFootball.com and James Rapien of ESPN 1530 AM radio about his undefeated Mohawks and their upcoming game against SWBL Buckeye rival Northridge (4-3, 2-1). Poff is in his fifth year at his alma mater and has compiled a 37-14 record during his tenure.
Madison Senior was the Division V, Region 20 champions in 2017. They lost to eventual state champion Wheelersburg in the OHSAA Division V state semi-finals.
The Mohawks allowed just 38 points all season (no one more than 16) including four shutouts with 20.5 sacks & 19 takeaways (11 Ints). The offense is averaging 41.7 points per contest and has 118 combined point the last two weeks. Four backs (Mason Whiteman, Cameron Svarda, Evan Crim & Jake Phelps) have more than 400 yards rushing.
