2018 Postseason All-TSF Team
- Updated: January 6, 2019
Following suit, the 2018 Postseason All-TriStateFootball.com Team is comprised of players that helped their teams to very successful seasons in the win column. The team efforts put forth to rack up those victories also reaps the benefit of recognition for many teammates.
All members of this year’s team is invited to the TSF Year in Review Show at Holy Grail on Monday, February 18. First, Second and Third-Team selections will be presented a medal and all Honorable Mentions will be recognized with a certificate.
When we look back 10 years from now, this may be one of the most impressive Postseason All-TSF teams ever selected. The top tier talent assembled here is incredibly gifted. Plenty of them will make their impact on Saturdays in college. After that, expect several more of them to continue that success on Sundays.
There are 148 players from 68 of the 152 schools (in the TSF coverage area) that make up the 2018 Postseason All-TriStateFootball.com Team – 1st Team (26), 2nd Team (26), 3rd Team (26) and Honorable Mentions (70).
Colerain leads the way with seven players earning honors for their play, followed by Winton Woods (6), Elder (6), Northmont (5), Moeller (5) and Covington Catholic (5). Five other schools have four players also being recognized – Wyoming, Indian Hill, Alter, La Salle and East Central.
The First Team has 16 seniors of the 22 on offense and defense (not including the specialists). All but one of those players has signed or verbally committed to play Division I (FBS) football.
The Big 10 lassoed five of those studs – Eric All (Fairfield), Zach Carpenter (Moeller), Gabe Newburg (Northmont) – Michigan; Jestin Jacobs (Northmont) – Iowa; Conner Foster (Milford) – Northwestern. The ACC scored big with Zeke Correll (Anderson) – Notre Dame; Jowon Briggs (Walnut Hills) – Virginia; Spencer Bono (Elder) – Boston College.
A trio of schools land a pair of these “first-teamers,” – Isaiah Gibson (Springfield), Moses Douglass (Springfield) – Kentucky; Jack Coldiron (Covington Catholic), Ivan Pace Jr. (Colerain) – Miami (OH); JJ Ross (Lakota West), Justin Harris (Wayne) – Cincinnati. Last, but not least, Jalen Thornton (Indian Hill) is headed to West Virginia.
The best of the best sees, seven of 26 – 1st Team, 8 of 26 – 2nd Team, 7 of 26 – 3rd Team and 20 of 70 Honorable Mention selections named their district or conference (or conference/division) offensive or defensive players of the year in 2018. In all, 42 of the 148 honorees were POYs last fall.
