2019 TSF Dayton OPOY Finalists

There are eight senior finalists for the 2019 TriState Football Dayton Offensive Player of the Year and six of them were honored as their conference’s best on this side of the ball. This is the first finalist nomination for each of the players.
All finalists will be honored at the TriState Football 2019 Awards Show on Monday, February 17th at the Holy Grail – Banks in Cincinnati. For details and to RSVP, coaches parents and players can click on this link: TSF Year In Review Show
Here is a look at the finalists for the 2019 TSF Dayton Offensive Player of the Year:
Jeff Tolliver (Springfield), Sr, RB – Emerged as the go-to back for Springfield. Tolliver churned out 1,320 yards rushing, 1,768 all-purpose yards and found the end zone 20 times (19 rush, one KR) on his way to 2019 OPSWA Division I Third Team All-Ohio and Second Team All-TSF honors. Tolliver finished his career with 2,186 yards rushing, 3,078 all-purpose yards and 29 touchdowns (27 rush, one rec, one KR).
Quincy Johnson Jr. (Chaminade Julienne), Sr, RB – A closer near the goal line, Johnson Jr. ran for 1,048 yards and 16 touchdowns. That effort earned him 2019 OPSWA Division III Second Team All-Southwest District, GCL Co-eds Co-Offensive Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-TSF honors. Johnson Jr. finished his career at Chaminade Julienne (8-3) with 2,078 yards and 31 touchdowns rushing. He has offers from Urbana and Siena Heights.
Keaton Kesling (Northmont), SR, QB – Good things come to those who wait and Kesling made the most in his only year as a starter at Northmont (7-4). He threw for 2,991 yards and 33 touchdowns on his way to becoming a 2019 OPSWA Division I Third Team All-Ohio and Honorable Mention All-TSF selection. Kesling had four games with four touchdown passes and threw for at least two touchdowns in each of his last 10 contests.
Larry Stephens (Springfield), Sr, WR – The offensive electricity that lit the way for Springfield (12-2) to win its first ever regional title. Stephens had 58 receptions for 1,127 yards, 13 touchdown catches and 1,456 all-purpose yards. He was named 2019 OPSWA Division I First Team All-Ohio, GWOC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-TSF for his efforts. Stephens, a Toledo signee ended his Wildcat career with 92 receptions for 1,718 yards, 19 receiving touchdowns and 2,521 all-purpose yards.
Braden Woods (Franklin), Sr, QB – Woods amassed 1,997 yards of total offense (1,401 pass, 596 rush) and accounted for 22 touchdowns (16 pass, six rush) while throwing just two interceptions during the regular season. Franklin finished and made the playoffs for the 12th time in program history. Woods set the school record with five touchdown passes against Eaton in Week 8. He was named 2019 OPSWA Division III First Team All-Ohio, Southwest District Offensive Player of the Year and SWBL Southwestern Offensive Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-TSF. He ends his career with more than 5,200 yards of total offense, 34 passing touchdowns and 11 touchdowns rushing.
Brendan Lamb (Clinton-Massie), Sr, RB – Was named 2019 OPSWA Division IV Second Team All-Ohio, SBAAC American Player of the Year and Third Team All-TSF after racking up 1,795 yards and 37 touchdowns rushing. He also had a kickoff return for a touchdown and 1,986 all-purpose yards. Lamb closed out his days at Clinton-Massie (9-2) with 2,920 yards rushing, 3,249 all-purpose yards and 59 touchdowns (57 rush).
AJ Lovin (Milton-Union), Sr, ATH – Lovin was “Mr. Do-it-all” for the Bulldogs. He amassed 2,149 all-purpose yards (696 rush, 633 rec, 820 ret), with 31 touchdowns (12 rush, 13 rec, two KR, two PR, two IR), 30 receptions, averaged 27.9/KR, averaged 20.3 PR, recovered a fumble and snared five interceptions including two pick sixes. That Herculean effort saw Lovin garner 2019 OPSWA Division IV Second Team All-Ohio (RB), SWBL Buckeye Offensive Player of the Year and Second Team All-TSF (RS) accolades. Lovin finished his career with 3,552 all-purpose yards (779 rush, 903 rec, 1,870 ret), 38 touchdowns (13 rush, 15 rec, four KR, three PR, three IR), 47 receptions, one fumble recovery, 11 interceptions and three pick sixes.
Brayden Siler (Troy), Sr, QB/K – A dual threat, Siler amassed 2,302 yards of total offense (1,115 pass, 1,187 rush) and accounted for 24 touchdowns (10 pass, 14 rush) as Troy (8-3) made the playoffs for a fourth straight season. He was named 2019 OPSWA Division II Second Team All-Ohio, MVL Offensive Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-TSF for his work. Siler finished his career as a Trojan with 2,503 yards passing, 1,352 yards rushing, 22 passing touchdowns, 16 rushing touchdowns, 42 total tackles, one interception and 128 points kicking (107/120 XPs, 7/23 FGs).
