KHSAA playoffs set to kickoff

The calendar has hit November and that means it’s time for some postseason action on the high school gridiron in the Bluegrass State. It will be a month of some great action, starting this Friday night around Kentucky.

Here are the opening round matchups for local teams:

CLASS 6A, DISTRICT 6
No. 4 Campbell County (1-9) at No. 1 Ryle (7-3)
No. 3 Simon Kenton (2-8) at No. 2 Dixie Heights (6-4)

CLASS 5A, DISTRICT 5
No. 4 Highlands (4-4) at No. 1 Covington Catholic (7-3)
No. 3 Conner (6-4) at No. 2 Cooper (7-3)

CLASS 4A, DISTRICT 6
No. 4 Harrison County (2-8) at Rowan County (7-3)
No. 3 Scott (6-4) at No. 2 Holmes (8-2)

CLASS 2A, DISTRICT 5
No. 4 Owen County (3-6) at No. 1 Walton-Verona (7-3)
No. 3 Gallatin County (3-6) at No. 2 Carroll County (6-4)

CLASS 2A, DISTRICT 6
No. 4 Newport (4-7) at No. 1 Beechwood (10-0)
No. 3 Holy Cross (3-7) at No. 2 Lloyd (3-6)

CLASS A, DISTRICT 4
